Villagers share 'Real Go-Getter' visualiser

Last autumn saw the release of The Art Of Pretending To Swim, Villagers acclaimed fourth album that was shortlisted for Ireland’s Choice Music Prize last week. On TAOPTS, Conor O’Brien balanced a new-found soulfulness with lyrical themes that embraced existential fears and hopes in this desper-ate, technologically-centred dystopian age, all while writing effortlessly accessible tunes. Today, we are pleased to share a new visualiser for ‘Real Go-Getter’.

On ‘Real Go-Getter’, amidst wheezing synths, O’Brien sings “Give all you got | And if you’re feeling like you’ve had enough | There’s only one way and it’s always up”, it represents an internal pep talk and a mantra for Conor.

Following an extensive European tour at the end of 2018, Villagers will play a string of UK dates

including London’s Roundhouse and has also announced a huge summer headline show at Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens.
