Superorganism release video for "Solar System"

Last month Superorganism released their kaleidoscopic second album World Wide Pop. Today, they are pleased to share the video for “Solar System”.

Talking about the song, Orono says “this song is about desperately praying to some sort of higher being, in this case the solar system/the universe and features friends Joe Astle of Boa Constrictors and CHAI.” Harry adds: “This feels like a bit of a centrepiece for the record. None of us are religious, but there is a lot of beauty in feeling small sometimes. We got Axel from Pi Ja Ma, and his son Paul, to read a little poem about the passage of progress and time from different ends of the human experience. Almost like they're the same person making these observations from the bookends of a life.”

Like the previously released videos for "Teenager", "It's Raining", "On & On", "crushed.zip" and "Into The Sun", the video for “Solar System” is directed by AEVA and is another brilliant and fun addition to their catalogue – the video also stars Hot Dad.

Fresh from their performance at Japan's Fuji Rock, Superorganism are heading out on tours across Europe, UK and North America starting from next month.

Superorganism World Wide Pop

Album | 15th July 2022

Superorganism return with their second album World Wide Pop in July, their first new music since 2018’s self-titled debut.

Blasting back with thirteen tracks that explore the infinite versus the intimate, taking in friendship, time, connectedness, and the universe; World Wide Pop contemplates the contradiction of being hopeful and curious when faced with relentless consumerism and overwhelming noise. However choosing optimism, Superorganism believe in the power of pop music and all the things it can do. World Wide Pop bridges the personal and existential whilst delivering a bag full of tunes laced with deadpan humour.

World Wide Pop also brings in an international set of collaborators including Stephen Malkmus, CHAI, Pi Ja Ma, Dylan Cartlidge & legendary musician and actor Gen Hoshino.
