Yorkston / Thorne / Khan release live Broken Wave EP today

The trio of Yorkston/Thorne/Khan return with the beautiful new ‘Broken Wave Live’ EP.  The tracks on the EP are taken from the Broken Wave Live sessions recorded at The Square studio in east London. These sessions afforded the band an opportunity to showcase poignant live versions of three songs from the band’s acclaimed debut album ‘Everything Sacred’.

Lead track ‘Broken Wave (A Blues For Doogie)’ is James Yorkston’s tribute to Doogie Paul– a powerful, tender lament to his old bass player and friend. You can watch the Liam Saint Pierre directed video for the song, shot at The Square during recording, HERE.   Jon Thorne then takes the lead on his yearning composition and album title track ‘Everything Sacred’, followed by the band’s sensitive reading of legendary songwriter and singer Lal Waterson’s ‘Song For Thirza’.

The launch of James Yorkstons’ new novel ‘Three Craws’ will take place at The City Café in Edinburgh on Thursday the 28th of April – more information about the novel can be found HERE and the event HERE
