Villagers publie l'édition deluxe de son récent album 'Fever Dreams'

Villagers publiait l’an dernier son excellent cinquième album, Fever Dreams, un hymne aux connexions humaines. Ce disque fascinant s’est classé 20ème des charts UK et a été encensé par la critique. Conor O’Brien a vu dans Fever Dreams le moyen de réunir le réel et le fantastique : « J'avais envie d'écrire quelque chose qui soit aussi généreux pour l'auditeur que pour moi-même » explique-t-il. « Parfois, les états les plus délirants peuvent entraîner les rêves les plus extatiques et euphoriques ».
Aujourd’hui, Villagers est heureux d’annoncer la sortie digitale de l’édition deluxe de Fever Dreams qui est enrichi de trois merveilleuses versions acoustiques des singles « The First Day », « So Simpatico » et « Circles In The Firing Line ».

O’Brien s’est entouré de Kevin Corcoran au clavier pour ces titres, qui sont disponibles pour la première fois en digital.
En plus des dates reprogrammées de la tournée de Villagers au UK, le groupe jouera une série de festivals cet été et O'Brien a annoncé sa toute première tournée acoustique en Europe.

Written over the course of two years, the main bodies of the songs were recorded in a series of full-band studio sessions in late 2019 and early 2020. Over the course of the long, slow pandemic days, O’Brien refined them in his tiny home studio in Dublin, and the album was then mixed by David Wrench (Frank Ocean, The xx, FKA Twigs).
O’Brien says on the gestation of Fever Dreams: “I had an urge to write something that was as generous to the listener as it was to myself. Sometimes the most delirious states can produce the most ecstatic, euphoric and escapist dreams.”
