Superorganism dévoile « Woofin' & Meowin’ »

La nuit dernière, l’épisode de Noël de la série animée HouseBroken était diffusé sur la Fox avec une nouvelle musique de générique, spécialement composée par Superorganism. Le titre « Woofin’ & Meowin’ » est une touche exubérante de joie des fêtes de fin d’année, courte, douce et pleine d’humour – tout ce qu’on attend du quintet.
Harry de Superorganism raconte à propos de l’écriture de la chanson : « Nous étions tellement contents lorsque Housebroken nous a demandé d'écrire une chanson pour son épisode de Noël. Nous adorons tous la série et comme certains thèmes et génériques de dessins animés ont façonné notre enfance et donc nos goûts, c'était super inspirant de s'impliquer dans ce projet. Nous avons écrit Woofin' and Meowin' juste avant de partir pour notre première tournée depuis la pandémie et je pense que vous pouvez sentir cette anxiété et cette excitation bouillonner. Pour moi, cela ressemble à l'excitation que le chien de ma famille pouvait ressentir et qui reflétait notre excitation d'enfants le jour de Noël. Le pauvre petit toutou n'avait aucune idée de la raison pour laquelle nous étions tous surexcités mais il profitait tout simplement du moment et s'agitait avec nous ».
La série HouseBroken de la Fox jette un regard irrévérencieux sur le comportement humain à travers le prisme d'animaux dont la quête de sens les entraîne souvent dans des aventures sauvages, loin des confins douillets de la vie domestique. Lisa Kudrow, Tony Hale, Will Forte, Jason Mantzoukas, Sam Richardson, Clea DuVall et Sharon Horgan y prêtent leur voix.

Blasting back with thirteen tracks that explore the infinite versus the intimate, taking in friendship, time, connectedness, and the universe; World Wide Pop contemplates the contradiction of being hopeful and curious when faced with relentless consumerism and overwhelming noise. However choosing optimism, Superorganism believe in the power of pop music and all the things it can do. World Wide Pop bridges the personal and existential whilst delivering a bag full of tunes laced with deadpan humour.
World Wide Pop also brings in an international set of collaborators including Stephen Malkmus, CHAI, Pi Ja Ma, Dylan Cartlidge & legendary musician and actor Gen Hoshino.
