Superorganism dévoile son nouveau single "It's Raining" featuring Stephen Malkmus & Dylan Cartlidge

Superorganism, qui a récemment annoncé la sortie de World Wide Pop le 15 juillet, dévoile aujourd'hui un nouvel extrait de son tant attendu deuxième album.
Tout comme pour “Teenager”, Superorganism a fait appel à des collaborateurs, Stephen Malkmus et le rappeur britannique Dylan Cartlidge, sur "It's Raining". Parmi les beats trépignants et les gouttes de synthé glitchy, une autre voix familière se fait entendre par le biais d’un sample de Scott Walker.
Le groupe déclare à propos des collaborations sur "It's Raining" : "Nous sommes depuis toujours d'énormes fans de Stephen Malkmus, et nous aimions l'idée de combiner Malkmus et Scott Walker dans un morceau étrange de hip hop aux sonorités presque cassées. Nous avions fait un remix pour Dylan Cartlidge et nous avons adoré son flow ; nous lui avons demandé s'il voulait essayer de faire un couplet et il l’a fait très naturellement. Dylan étant originaire du nord de l'Angleterre et Stephen de Portland, le thème de la pluie leur convient d'autant plus."
Réalisée par AEVA, la vidéo est composée d’illustrations signées Risa Kazama. Elle nous emmène, telle une goutte de pluie souriante, en voyage dans un train à grande vitesse à la rencontre de chaque membre de Superorganism, ainsi que de Malkmus et Cartlidge.
