Bonnie “Prince” Billy reprend “Outsider” des Ramones

Alors que la canicule touche presque à sa fin, Bonnie "Prince" Billy présente l’hymne revitalisé "Outsider", sa reprise de l'un des géants de l'ère punk. Avec cette chanson des Ramones parfaite pour un ‘Prince’ (signée par la plume de l'immortel Dee Dee), Bonny reprend le psycho-stoïcisme des paroles avec une majestueuse mélodie. Produite en 2016 avec Mark Nevers, la reprise comprend les contributions de Chris Scruggs (des Fabulous Superlatives) et les homeboys William Tyler, Peter Townsend et D.C. Berman qui déverse l'effroi existentiel du pont de Dee Dee. La pochette d'Elsa Oldham célèbre le triumvirat de chanteurs !

The B-side is a sweet reiteration of The Carpenters' wedding-anthem "We've Only Just Begun", echoing the message of the A-side in just the kind of weird way that only the Bonnie “Prince” is capable of anymore.
