Animal Collective dévoile son nouveau single & clip “We Go Back”

Animal Collective s'apprête à sortir son nouvel album Time Skiffs ce vendredi. Le groupe en dévoile aujourd’hui un nouvel aperçu avec son single "We Go Back" accompagné d'une vidéo créée par le réalisateur et animateur Winston Hacking. "C'était un plaisir de travailler avec Animal Collective - ils ont fait confiance à notre sens du jeu et à notre engagement envers la spontanéité qui se reflète dans leur son", déclare Hacking. "La vidéo est composée de lieux scannés, de décors miniatures et de collages qui embrassent l'esthétique 3d low-fi inhérente à la photogrammétrie."

Time Skiffs, le premier album studio du quatuor en 5 ans, résonne telle une conversation entre quatre vieux amis, comme à l'époque de leurs débuts incertains ou de l'apogée de Strawberry Jam. Ces neuf chansons sont des lettres d'amour, des signaux de détresse et des hymnes à la relaxation : neuf échanges entre quatre personnes qui ont grandi au fil de leurs relations, leur vie de parents et leurs soucis d'adultes. Elles sont imprégnées du don d’émerveillement si singulier d’Animal Collective pour l’exploration.
