The Range shares new VR video for Florida

The Range has partnered with YouTube on the release of a virtual reality video for his 2016 Potential LP single “Florida.” Directed by Andrea Allen and produced by Anchor Light, it plants the viewer on a rooftop in the midst of a group of kids dancing along to the song with the New York City skyline in the background.

In addition to the release of a brand new music video, The Range has shared “New Lots”, a mix featuring new and previously unreleased material, along with new live edit versions of songs from Potential, currently being played on tour with Austra across America.

Last year also saw the release of an accompanying documentary, SUPERIMPOSE, that explored the making of Potential, which exclusively used voices of people who posted videos of themselves on YouTube, and shed light on the unique and varied human stories of the people featured on the album who were completely unknown to the Brooklyn-based electronic producer James Hinton when originally selected. Screenings took place in NYC, LA, Austin during SXSW and premiered online this past fall at Pitchfork. And just last week, it was announced that SUPERIMPOSE won Best Short Documentary at the Seeyousound Festival in Italy.

After completing Australian support dates with Tourist last month, The Range will support Austra on their ongoing North American tour. More spring/summer tour dates will be announced very soon.
