Biography
Big Inner (2013) introduced the world to both Matthew E. White and Spacebomb, the label, recording and production house White and friends built in the vernacular of 1960s street-level recording empires such as Stax and Hi. As well as an ethos, Spacebomb is an aesthetic, a village of musicians that includes in-house strings, horn sections and a choir dedicated to the freedom of the artistic imagination and down-home creativity. Nowhere is this better expressed than in White's own releases and numerous collaborations, all bathed in his soulful, lightly psychedelic grace.
